“Point of View” Exhibition
On 25 May, Parques de Sintra inaugurates the “Point of View” modern art exhibition in Parque da Pena (Park of Pena). The exhibition, which is sponsored by Sintra Bliss House, will run until 25 May 2017.
The project intends to mark the bicentenary of D. Fernando II, the “artist King”, creator of Parque da Pena.
It intends to enrich visitors' experiences and lead them to “lose themselves” in the Park, exploring its different perspectives and “points of view”. In this way, “the relationship between man and nature is felt in full symbiosis, just as King Fernando II intended”, says the Project Director, Sofia Barros.
The name “Point of View” comes from the French phrase “Point de Vue”, used in landscape architecture, which is linked to the concept of perspective.
This group exhibition, with Paulo Arraiano as its artistic director, brings together ten artists with diverse nationalities, who are recognised throughout the world for their work on the relationship between man and nature:
• Alberto Carneiro (Portugal)
• Alexandre Farto/Vhils (Portugal)
• Antonio Bokel (Brazil)
• Bosco Sodi (Mexico)
• Gabriela Albergaria (Portugal)
• João Paulo Serafim (Portugal)
• NeSpoon (Poland)
• Nils-Udo (Germany)
• Paulo Arraiano (Portugal)
• Stuart Ian Frost (United Kingdom)
