How to get to Cascais
The region is served by Lisbon International Airport, located only 20 kilometres (15 miles) away. All major international airlines are represented here. Information can also be obtained on flights, ticket reservations and air taxis.

The Cascais Municipal Aerodrome at Tires has a runway measuring 1,700 metres by 30 metres and a modern terminal with capacity for 80 to 90 passengers (from Schengen Agreement countries). It can also provide any technical and support services necessary as well as information on air taxis.

To reach Cascais from Lisbon airport, you may do so either from public transport or by car, being able to request your rental available through several companies in the market.
Using public transports
Airport - Cais do Sodré - Cascais
Without leaving the airport you can reach by Metro or Aero Bus the Cais do Sodré station and from there, take the train to Cascais.
The Airport Metro Station operates from 06:30 a.m. to 01:00 a.m.
From the airport, take the red line on the Metro to Cais do Sodré station on the green line, changing at Alameda station.

Tickets 24H: 6 €
It required the prior acquisition of electronic card 7 Colinas/Viva Viagem. Price: 0,50€
Alternatively, you can jump on the “Aero Bus”.

Cais do Sodré - Airport: 7:40 - 23:00
Daily departures every 20 minutes. Direct connection to both airport terminals (Terminal 1 and 2).
24H AEROBUS PASS
Adult: 3,50 €, Child (4-10 years): 2€, Groups (4 ou more adults): 2€
24h AEROBUS PASS can be purchased on board, on-line or at the Lisbon Tourism Office in Arrivals public area. This ticket is valid for 24 hours on the Aerobus network (unlimited trips).
From Cais do Sodré, there’s a regular train service directly CP to Cascais.
The CP Comboios de Portugal (Portuguese train operator) has a new tourist ticket, combined with the Lisbon Public Transport services, Carris and Metro.
- It’s valid for an unlimited number of trips in Lisbon during 24 hours after the 1st validation.
- It’s valid on the CP urban trains, including the lines leading to Sintra, Azambuja, Cascais and Sado, and across the public transport networks - Carris and Lisbon Metro.
- This ticket can be bought with the card “Viva Viagem” and is available at the ticket offices and Automatic Ticket Machines located at the CP and Metro stations.
- Price: 10€

Cascais has an efficient public transport network.
Departing every 30 minutes, trains run from around 6am until 1am to Lisbon’s Cais do Sodré station, which also has a metro station.
The train stops at Cascais, Monte Estoril, Estoril, Parede and Carcavelos.
