Promotional film wins 2nd prize in the ‘Tourism Innovation’ category at the 19th International Tourism Film Festival in Ovar

The promotional film “Cascais - Time Is on Your Side”, produced by Cascais Tourism, was awarded 2nd prize in the ‘Tourism Innovation’ category at the 19th ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival. The award was presented on 30 October at the Ovar Arts Centre, during the closing ceremony of the festival, which took place from 27 to 30 October.

This recognition reinforces Cascais Tourism’s commitment to promoting the destination through a communications strategy that highlights its lifestyle appeal, going beyond traditional tourism attractions. The film invites viewers to slow down, explore, and experience Cascais at their own pace, emphasizing the quality of the visitor experience and a more mindful way of enjoying time.

"Receiving this award is a source of pride and a recognition of the way we showcase Cascais. We want to highlight what makes the destination unique, from its quality of life and diversity of experiences to the opportunity for each visitor to discover it at their own pace. This is the spirit of Cascais that we want to share with those who visit us," said Bernardo Corrêa de Barros, President of Cascais Tourism.

This distinction joins the awards previously earned by other Cascais promotional films, such as “Remote Workers”, further reinforcing the international recognition of the destination’s creativity and excellence in communication.

Organised by the Centre of Portugal Film Commission, in partnership with Turismo Centro de Portugal and the Municipality of Ovar, ART&TUR brings together cinema and tourism, creating a platform for filmmakers, industry professionals, and destination representatives.
