Opened in 2009, the Casa das Histórias Paula Rego is a unique space dedicated to the life and work of one of Portugal’s most internationally acclaimed artists. Designed by architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, the building stands out with its contemporary style and distinctive red-hued twin towers.
Inside, visitors will find an impressive collection of paintings, drawings, and prints that showcase Paula Rego’s imaginative, intense, and often provocative world, alongside works by her husband, Victor Willing. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, talks, and educational activities.
