Cascais Opera is an International Vocal Competition based in Cascais, Portugal, created with the aim of supporting, promoting, and giving visibility to young talent. The competition offers singers aged 18 to 32 the opportunity to perform before a prestigious international jury, gaining recognition and new opportunities in the opera world.
Designed to provide a complete artistic experience, Cascais Opera stands out for its combination of live competition rounds, masterclasses, performance opportunities, specialised feedback, and a strong educational dimension.
A member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC) and Opera Latinoamerica (OLA), Cascais Opera is part of global networks of excellence, expanding the opportunities available to its participants. In each edition, the jury awards monetary prizes and contracts with international festivals and stages.
Deeply connected to its local territory, Cascais Opera also promotes a sustainable and inclusive cultural vision, involving the community and social partners in a project that brings together art, training, innovation, and social responsibility.
