The Summer Festival Closest to the Atlantic Returns to Cascais Bay

Festas do Mar is back from August 20 to 30 and kicks off on the very first night with Daniela Mercury, one of the greatest voices in Portuguese-language music, returning to the festival closest to the Atlantic 16 years after her last appearance. It will be eight unforgettable nights bringing the summer season to a close in Cascais, with free concerts, gastronomy, handicrafts and moments of tradition.

This year's edition welcomes some of the most popular names in Portuguese music, including Os Quatro e Meia, Diogo Piçarra, Dillaz, Matias Damásio and David Fonseca.

Over the course of 10 days, the celebrations will span between the Citadel of Cascais and Visconde da Luz Garden, offering experiences and memories to last a lifetime. From Thursday to Sunday, concerts will take place across three different stages, with five performances per day, including shows dedicated to children.

The closing day of Festas do Mar, on August 30, once again brings together music, tradition and spectacle. The Procession in Honour of Our Lady of the Navigators is one of the event's most emblematic moments. The programme culminates with a performance by the Cascais Symphony Orchestra and the traditional fireworks display.

Holders of the Viver Cascais Card, available to residents, workers and students, will once again have access to an exclusive area beside the Cascais Stage.

In the year that Cascais is European Capital of Democracy, more than 30 concerts will take place across the Cascais and Super Bock stages, bringing together artists from different generations and musical styles.
